Mina country

Clans of the Mina (Meena) people hold the hills round Amber, Dausa, the Bundi pocket and the broken country between Ranthambore and Bayana.

The Kachwahas of the bardic tradition rise among them and take Amber from the Susawat Minas in the thirteenth century (1207 in the bardic count: Tod's tradition, not an inscription). In 1200 they are neighbours and tenants of the hill forts, with no chief a source names.
