Jangaladesa

The dry thorn country north of Nagaur, grazed by Jat and Rajput herding clans and holding no town of any size.

It is a name in the Chahamana charters long before Bikaner is founded on it. Cattle, camels and men come out of it; nothing else does. The Chahamana claim to the Jangaladesa is a title, not a writ (board), and the Ghurid hold on Nagaur and Hansi is not an occupation of it.
