Borgo

The old 'Ausugum' on the Via Claudia Augusta in the lower Valsugana.

The eastern Valsugana belongs not to Trent but to the bishop of Feltre's county, for reasons of history and because the road to Trent is hard. Castel Telvana above it passes to the Caldonazzo-Castronovo lords only in the first half of the thirteenth century.

Where the sources disagree

  • Coloured 'empire' because the bishop of Feltre's county has no realm id on this sheet; the ven researcher holds Feltre's surroundings and may colour it otherwise.

Evidence: The county attribution is general.

On the map: A point.
