Annals of Reiner of Saint James, Liège

Contemporary annals kept inside Liège. For 1200 Reiner records the death of Bishop Albert of Cuyck on 2 February 1200 and the election of Hugh of Pierrepont, the feuds of the Liège region, the wars of Duke Henry I of Brabant and the duke of Limburg, and the stance of the Lower Lotharingian lords in the throne war, in which Liège and Brabant leaned to Otto. He also notes weather, prices and local violence. Short entries, but first-hand and dated.
