Muria strait

In 1200 Mount Muria stands off the coast as an island, or very nearly one, with a navigable channel behind it from Jepara round to the Solo lowlands.

The strait silts through the following centuries and is closed by about 1657 (en.wikipedia). While it is open it is the sheltered inner route past the worst stretch of the north coast and the reason Jepara, Juwana and the Demak shore are worth anything. The campaign board dot at -6.8, 110.76 is a mid-strait fix on what is now dry land.
