Bodrog

The castle of the county of Bodrog in western Bácska, by the Danube marshes near today's Bački Monoštor, whose name keeps the memory of the Benedictine monastery beside the castle.

Bodrog county was part of Duke Andrew's domain in 1197-1199; after his defeat at Rád (summer 1199) the king's officers have it again.
