Frontier town · Kingdom of Sicily under the regency · as at first light, 1 January 1200

Civitella

Civitella is a castle on a long rock above the Salinello, facing Ascoli and the papal March across the Tronto.

In 1200 it is a frontier castle and village of the Teramo country, not the great fortress of later centuries.
