The Chenchus and Yanadis of the Veligonda and Seshachalam hills

The forest hills between Kadapa, Nellore and Tirupati are the country of the Chenchus (honey and root gatherers, hunters) and the Yanadis of the lowland edge.

They supply the Telugu courts with forest produce, guides and archers. The Telugu Chodas and the Kakatiya hold the fringes by tribute.
