Gond country

The hill and forest country from the Wardha and Wainganga across Gadchiroli and Chandrapur to Adilabad: Gond, Kolam and Andh clans under hereditary chiefs who hunt, burn and plant the hills, work iron and gather forest produce.

The Yadava crown claims the plain and taxes it through the Chanda and Nagpur officers; the Kakatiyas touch the south edge. Each clan decides for itself.

Yadava claim

How things stand that morning

Self-governing clans under a Yadava claim. The Gond country runs on north and east of the sheet line into the Satpura and the Chhattisgarh forest (Betul, Chhindwara and Seoni are anchored here as peoples); that ground is nin's.

Where the sources disagree

Evidence: No source we read gives the political life of this people in 1200; this is general knowledge, flagged thin. The Project's rule is that powers who ruled without castles are real powers, so the people is carried.
