Koya country

The forest and hill country along the Godavari gorge from Mulugu and the Pakhal valley past Bhadrachalam to the Papikondalu: Koya clans of hill cultivators and hunters, with a Kakatiya claim on the west and the Velanati and Ganga marches on the east.

The Kakatiya tanks at Pakhal and Laknavaram are on its edge (later).

Self-governing clans on the Kakatiya edge. East of the Godavari and the Indravati the same forest runs on into Bastar, which is nin's ground (Dantewada is anchored here as peoples).

Where the sources disagree

Evidence: No source we read gives the political life of this people in 1200; this is general knowledge, flagged thin. The Project's rule is that powers who ruled without castles are real powers, so the people is carried.
