Gond

The Gond hill people, whose kingdoms (Garha-Mandla, Chanda, Deogarh) are of the fourteenth century and later and lie in the Central India map.

On the western edge of our area the Bastar and Kalahandi hills have Gond and Halba villages under their own headmen, between the Eastern Ganga Kosala claim and the Naga frontier. We opened no source on them, so this record is general knowledge and is thin.
