Caiazzo

Caiazzo stands on a hill over the middle Volturno, where the river leaves the hills for the plain of Capua, guarding the roads from Capua to Alife and the Matese and to Benevento by Sant'Agata.

A Robert of Caiazzo held Sant'Agata until Tancred took it in 1193. Who held Caiazzo on 1 January 1200, and for whom, is not recorded in the sources seen; Diepold held nearby Alife for a time (DBI).
