Bhojpur has a great unfinished Shiva temple with a huge lingam (Bhojeshvara) said to be Bhoja's of the eleventh century, and the Bhoja Sagara, the reservoir of his time.
Both are monuments of an older Paramara age; on 1 January 1200 the temple is as it was left and the lake is in use or breached (not known).
