The Ghurid court's own history, by a man born in 1193 whose family served the sultans of Ghur and Ghazna. For 1200 it gives Ghiyath al-Din Muhammad at Firuzkuh and his brother Mu'izz al-Din at Ghazna, their seizure of Khurasan from the Khwarazmians (1200 to 1201), the Ghurid conquests in Hindustan under Qutb al-Din Aybak and the taking of Bengal by Muhammad Bakhtiyar Khalji, the maliks of Sistan and Bamiyan, and the Khwarazmshahs, the Qara Khitai and the Turks of the steppe as the Ghurids saw them. Raverty's English of 1881 is complete and heavily annotated but archaic; dates in the Ghurid section are often a year uncertain.
