A Jain collection of historical anecdotes about the kings of Gujarat and Malwa, a century after 1200. Its fifth book covers Bhima II of Gujarat (reigning 1178 to 1240, king in 1200) and the ministers and feudatories, the Vaghelas Lavanaprasada and Viradhavala, who were beginning to overshadow him. It also preserves stories of Prithviraja of Ajmer and of the Paramaras. It is tradition, not record: dates are often wrong and the stories are shaped for a Jain audience, but it is the fullest narrative source for the Chaulukya court and is checked against the inscriptions.
