Inscriptions of the Kalachuri-Chedi Era

Collects every known record of the Kalachuris of Tripuri (Dahala) and of Ratnapura (south Kosala), with text, translation and a long historical introduction. For 1200 it gives the grants and titles of Vijayasimha of Tripuri (reigning from about 1188) and of the Ratnapura branch, and shows the Kalachuri hold on the Narmada valley and Chhattisgarh in the last decades before the Chandelas, Yadavas and the Delhi sultans ate into it. Mirashi's introduction is the standard reconstruction of the dynasty's chronology.
