Linz

A Rhine-side settlement on the right bank opposite the mouth of the Ahr, part of the Cologne lands with Unkel and Erpel.

Its walls and town status are later; in 1200 it is a market place of the see on the frontier between Cologne's Andernach and the royal places at Sinzig and Remagen.
