Port · The court at Kyoto and its provinces · as at first light, 1 January 1200

Yodo

The river port south of Kyoto where the Katsura, the Uji and the Kizu rivers meet to form the Yodo.

Boats from Naniwa and the Inland Sea come up to unload rice, salt and fish for the capital, which then goes overland to Kyoto or up the Kamo. A fish market and a boatmen's quarter are there [not yet checked against the source]. The river is the road that joins Kyoto to Watanabe-tsu and the sea.
