Short dated annals of the imperial court excerpted from courtiers' diaries, among them the Gyokuyo and the Meigetsuki. For 1199 and 1200 it notes the accession rites and court offices, Go-Toba's retirement government, the regents, the deaths of courtiers, fires, epidemics and portents, and the court's view of events in Kamakura. Brief, but it is the plainest dated skeleton of the Kyoto year 1200 and the control for the diaries.
