Rovigno

An island town off the west coast of Istria, a fishing and seafaring place, said to have sworn to Venice with the west-coast towns around 1150 (not checked here).

A nineteenth-century Istrian account has Capodistria and Pirano attacking Rovigno in 1208, after the patriarchs took over the march.
