Pengkalan Bujang

The trading beach on the Bujang river: glass from the Persian Gulf, celadon and stoneware from China, beads and Indian pottery, all in one place.

The English Wikipedia article on the history of Kedah, citing Nik Hassan Shuhaimi, has a trade centre springing up here in the late eleventh to the fourteenth century, which covers 1200. This is the ground the Kedah entry actually stands on (board).

Lord in 1200

not known: no source names a lord, governor or headman for 1 January 1200

How things stand that morning

No lord, governor or garrison is named by any source for 1 January 1200. Treat as a landing or settlement on the route whose overlord, if any, is not known.

Where the sources disagree

Evidence: Fair: excavated sherds and a dated span for the trade centre; nothing about who ran it.
