Næstved

A market town at the mouth of the Suså in southern Zealand, beside the Benedictine abbey of St Peter (Skovkloster), founded in 1135 by the magnate Peder Bodilsen.

A trading place for the south Zealand coast; not a chartered town in 1200. Bishop Peder Sunesen of Roskilde is a benefactor of the abbey (DBL).
