Haderslev

A young trading place, probably founded in the mid-1100s beside the older market of Starup, where the roads from Aabenraa, Kolding and Ribe met at a ford; Starup's market faded as Haderslev rose (danmarkshistorien).

In 1200 a market place at the head of the Haderslev fjord, not a chartered town.
