Junagadh

The fortress city of Saurashtra: the Uparkot, a fort on a rock mound above the town, with the Girnar rock a few miles east carrying the Ashokan rock edict and the Jain and Hindu sanctuaries.

The Chudasama rajas, of the house described in Chudasamas of Junagadh, hold it as Chaulukya feudatories, but how the royal and local power balance on 1 January 1200 is not shown; the campaign board calls the tenure contested.
