A walled town on the Sabarmati plain with the Malav lake beside it, the base of the Vaghela family (see Vaghelas of Dholka).

The Vaghelas are not yet regents: on 1 January 1200 Lavanaprasada is the king's trusted man here and the rise of the house belongs to the next decade.

Where the sources disagree

  • The campaign board entry dholka-dhavalakka puts Arnoraja at Dholka on this morning; Majumdar as summarised has Arnoraja gone by Bhima's early years. See Chaulukya Gujarat.

Evidence: See Vaghelas of Dholka; Wikipedia's Vaghela page; the campaign board.
