Town · The Chaulukya kingdom of Gujarat · as at first light, 1 January 1200

Dabhoi

A fortified town in Lata, on the road between Anahilapataka and the Narmada, and in the way of any Malwa invasion.

The Dabhoi prashasti of Someshvara (a later work) celebrates a Chaulukya defence of the place against Malwa (a later event, in likely_course_1200); its fine stone gates and walls belong to the later thirteenth century and are not here yet (recalled, not rechecked).
