Vanga: the central and eastern delta

The wet delta of the Padma, the old Brahmaputra and the Meghna: Vikramapura, Sonargaon, Dhaka, Savar, Faridpur, with the Madhupur sal forest to the north and the char lands in the river.

The aman rice country, the cowrie landings and the delta boatmen live here; the Senas' later refuge. English Wikipedia says the Deva line of Vikramapura appears in the mid-thirteenth century.
