Ngawa (Aba)

The grassland centre where the Ngawa tribes meet, on the road between the Gyalrong valleys and the Songpan marches.

Kirti monastery is of 1472 (recalled) and so not yet; 'Minjak' meant the Ngawa area until the 19th century (Wikipedia, Tangut people). In 1200 it is a camping ground and a ford, not a town.
