Jalor

A fort on Sonagira, the golden hill, three hundred and thirty metres of near vertical rock with a three-kilometre serpentine climb to the gate and three lines of wall above it (board).

It gives the Sonagara branch of the Chahamanas their name. Samarasimha holds it; the Adinatha temple inside the walls is the Jain merchants' shrine. See Samarasimha of Jalor.
