Port · The Sundanese kingdom of western Java · as at first light, 1 January 1200

Banten roadstead

The bay at the river mouth below Banten Girang, the outport for the upriver town and the first landfall for anything coming up through the strait (the campaign board).

The later port of Banten (Banten Lama) stands here; in 1200 it is a roadstead with a shore village. The Chinese harbour of Sin-t'o in the Zhu Fan Zhi is most likely this one rather than Kalapa (en.wikipedia leans to Old Banten).
