The old land of the Tollensians, round the Tollense lake and river, with the land of Stargard (Burg Stargard) to the south and the lands of Beseritz and Wustrow.
On 18 August 1170 Duke Casimir I founded the Premonstratensian abbey of Broda on the Tollense lake and gave it 33 villages, including land where Neubrandenburg, Burg Stargard, Neustrelitz and Penzlin now stand: the land was then Pomeranian. It was still Pomeranian in 1236, when Wartislaw III of Demmin had to give Stargard, Beseritz and Wustrow to Brandenburg; Penzlin passed to the Mecklenburg lords by the 1220s (Henry Borwin II gave its townsmen privileges before 1226). On 1 January 1200 it is best read as Casimir II's land, but no act of his here is known.

What the year holds
What happened next, if nothing in play changes it. Each event carries what it depends on and what would stop it.
- 1236 (after this year)Treaty of Kremmen: the land of Stargard with Beseritz and Wustrow goes to Brandenburg.
Places of note
- Broda abbey: Premonstratensian abbey on the Tollense lake, founded 1170 (Church map record)
Where the sources disagree
Evidence: The 1170 Broda grant shows Pomeranian lordship then; the Broda record survives only in an altered later form (de.wikipedia Penzlin). Nothing pins the holder in 1200.
On the map: Rough; the southern edge toward the Havel lakes and the Brandenburg march is not pinned.
