Gutkeled kindred

A kindred of German descent whose main holdings lay in the Nyírség, with an old estate at Gut near Székesfehérvár and lands in Zala.

They founded monasteries at Sárvár, Nyíradony and Egyed (dates not pinned). A charter of 1326 claims that St Stephen gave a forefather Rakamaz, Nyírbátor, Pócs, Nyírábrány and Nyíregyháza: a family claim, not a record of 1200. No member is dated in 1170-1215, so their leaders and their side in 1199 are unknown.
