Castiglioni

A Milanese noble family named after Castiglione in the Seprio, the hill castle on the Olona south of Varese.

By family tradition its founder, Corrado, a son of a count of the Seprio, received a castle in the Seprio from the archbishop. The family gives the church of Milan canons and prelates and will give a pope, Celestine IV (1241). Nothing is dated for 1200.
