Hwaeomsa at the south-west foot of Jirisan was established in 544 by Yeongi (English Wikipedia).
English Wikipedia says that in 943 the Goryeo state began a programme of 500 Seon temples and then 3,800 supplementary temples (bibo-sachal) at sites needing geomantic repair, that Hwaeomsa was the first to be renovated, and that four more renovations followed under Gwangjong, Munjong, Injong and Chungsuk (no dates given). It is thus a house that the crown has patronised repeatedly. Jinul's society's hermitage on Jirisan is a few ridges east of it (Jinul).
No act is recorded for 1200.
