The Kaveripakkam tank

A large reservoir of the Palar plain near Arcot, one of the tanks on which Tondaimandalam's rice depends.

The Palar plain's tank system, kept by the ur and sabha of its villages (Uttiramerur is the best-known record), is the northern counterpart of the Kaveri delta's channels.
