Forum Liuben, named in 1173, a market round the church of St.
Jakob at the foot of the Massenburg on the Mur, near the old nunnery of Göss (founded before 1020 by the Aribonen). The planned town on the river bend is Ottokar II of Bohemia's work of 1261: not yet. On 1 January 1200 Leoben is a market village, not a town.
