Village of Matilda's old lands south of the Po, near the abbey of Polirone; home of the Corradi, who moved into Mantua in 1186.
Reggio and its Cremonese allies besiege it in vain in 1215; the 1225 settlement gives Gonzaga to Mantua. The Ugoni counts receive or confirm its investiture in 1211-1212.
