Frontier town · Margraviate of Moravia · as at first light, 1 January 1200

Břeclav

A border castle founded after 1041 by Duke Bretislaus I near the great Moravian site of Pohansko, at the meeting of the Moravian, Austrian and Hungarian frontiers, and the centre of the Břeclav province.

Its first mention, dated 1046, comes from a document that English Wikipedia (Hodonín) calls a forgery. A castle, not a town.
