The last Bohemian narrative before 1200, continuing Vincentius of Prague. It ends in 1198 with Přemysl Ottokar I's return to the Prague throne, his brother Vladislav Henry's withdrawal to Moravia, and Philip of Swabia's grant of the royal title to Ottokar, and so gives the immediate background to Bohemia on 1 January 1200. Jarloch writes as a Premonstratensian close to the Bohemian church and is hostile to the duke's enemies.
