West Sumbawa

The west and the middle of the long island east of Lombok.

The Nagarakretagama of 1365 names Taliwang on this side of the island (en.wikipedia list), a statement of 165 years after the date. The Sumbawa language belongs with Balinese and Sasak (recalled), which fits a country that looked west across the strait to Lombok. The dry north coast and the hills send out horses, honey and sappanwood in later accounts (the campaign board's list for Sumbawa; Pires about 1515 on the later trade, en.wikipedia).

No ruler, harbour or chief is named for 1200. East of this country lies Tambora, which does not erupt until 1815.
