Mino

Mino lies on the Nagara and Ibi rivers and the road to the Fuwa barrier, the great eastern road from Kyoto by Ōmi.

It is the court's province; the Minamoto families of Mino and the proprietors hold the land, and the third gate of Hakusan (Chōtōji) opens in its mountains. Kamakura's reach is a thin constable's authority (not pinned) and the Mino road is the one Kamakura's envoys take.

Who holds it

Title
Governor of Mino, a court appointment
Confidence
low

The brief and recollection of Mass; no list of 1199 to 1200 holders was opened.

What it holds

  • Tarui (provincial seat)
  • Fuwa barrier

How things stand that morning

What Kamakura names or controls: Thin: scattered stewards; the Mino road. What stops it: The court's governor, proprietors and the Mino Genji's own standing.

Where the sources disagree

Evidence: Recollection, the brief and the campaign board; no list of governors or constables for 1200 was opened.

"The campaign board" is OMNIA's working map. These notes record where its earlier claims were checked against the sources.

On the map: A rough outline from the modern prefecture; the old province's edges differ in places.
