Kaga

Kaga is the plain of the Tedori and Daishōji rivers under Mount Hakusan.

The court's governor and the Kaga families (the Togashi and Hayashi, recalled) hold the plain, the Shirayama Hongū and its monks hold the foot of the mountain, and the quarrel of 1177 between the governor and the monks is the best known event of the province.

How things stand that morning

What Kamakura names or controls: Thin. What stops it: The court's governor, the Kaga families and Hakusan.

Where the sources disagree

Evidence: Recollection, the brief and the campaign board; no list of governors or constables for 1200 was opened.

"The campaign board" is OMNIA's working map. These notes record where its earlier claims were checked against the sources.

On the map: A rough outline from the modern prefecture; the old province's edges differ in places.
