The hills and plain from Jhabua and Dohad to Ratlam, on the road from Dhara to Cambay and Anhilwara, are the belt where Paramara and Chaulukya power meet and where the Bhil clans of the western Vindhya raid both.
The Chaulukyas held Malwa for a generation until Vindhyavarman recovered Dhara about 1192; Subhatavarman's invasion of Gujarat is later. The campaign board marks this as a frontier belt; the dated evidence for 1199-1200 is missing, so this is a belt of a standing quarrel, not of a campaign.
