Pirate creeks

The creeks and landings of the Barda coast and the Okhamandal peninsula, where the campaign board puts a pirate shore.

The evidence we could reach is thin for 1200: the later sources that call Gujarat's coast a nest of corsairs (Marco Polo, writing in the 1290s, recalled and not rechecked) come a century after, and no Chaulukya or Chudasama record we reached describes the pirates. We draw the belt because the brief allows it only where the evidence shows it and the campaign board shows it; treat it as a low-confidence belt.

Allies and rivals

Sea-raiding clans of the Okha and Barda creeks against coastal shipping; the Jethwa and Chudasama rajas and the Chaulukya crown are the nominal police.

Military

Last campaign: not documented. Anchors: Dwarka and Okha on the Okhamandal side; Porbandar and Ghumli on the Barda.

Where the sources disagree

Evidence: The campaign board; Marco Polo from memory (a late source).

"The campaign board" is OMNIA's working map. These notes record where its earlier claims were checked against the sources.

On the map: Low confidence: the pirate shore is a board reading with a later parallel, not a source for 1200.
