Girnar sanctuaries

Girnar is the sacred hill beside Junagadh, with the Neminatha Jain tirtha on its summits and Hindu shrines and the Ashokan rock edict at its foot.

Jain merchants from Patan and Cambay endow it; the great rebuilding of the Jain temples by the ministers Vastupala and Tejahpala is of the 1230s (recalled) and is not yet.
