Chiang Dao hill and cave

The limestone peak Doi Luang Chiang Dao, with its cave, stands behind the last settled valley of the upper Ping and is a landmark.

We know of no source that dates any cult, hermitage or shrine here to 1200 or before, so the record marks a likely holy place and not a documented one.
