Annals of Wales

Short Latin annals whose later versions are kept at St Davids and Cistercian houses. For 1200 they add little beyond the Brut, which draws on the same tradition, but they give a second and sometimes differing date for the deaths and successions among the princes of Gwynedd and Deheubarth and for events at St Davids, where Gerald of Wales's disputed election was running. Useful as a check on the Brut's chronology.
