The Andaman end of the Kra crossing: a drowned river mouth with deep sheltered water and a tin country behind it.
A ship out of Bengal or Coromandel that does not want the strait unloads here (board). The Pakchan river here divides the Thai side from the Tenasserim coast of Pagan's governors across the water (Kawthaung); the isthmus between Grahi and the Khmer march is the contested ground of the brief, and Pagan's disputed claim of 1196-98 touches it. No lord is named.

Lord in 1200
not known: no source names a lord, governor or headman for 1 January 1200
How things stand that morning
No lord, governor or garrison is named by any source for 1 January 1200. Treat as a landing or settlement on the route whose overlord, if any, is not known.
Places of note
- The tin of the Pakchan: Tin gravels washed out of the western granite and panned in the creeks: small workings, no settlement of any size (board).
Where the sources disagree
Evidence: Thin: from the campaign board's inference, archaeology and later sources; nothing dated 1 January 1200 names it.
"The campaign board" is OMNIA's working map. These notes record where its earlier claims were checked against the sources.
