Oddi

The seat of the Oddaverjar: a great church farm with the most famous school in Iceland, where Sæmundur the Learned taught and where Snorri Sturluson was brought up.

This winter Snorri and his bride Herdís live here as Sæmundur's guests, and from here Sæmundur directs the Glæðir quarrel with Sigurður Ormsson.
