Hirado

An island and its anchorage at the north-western edge of Hizen facing the Goto islands and Goryeo, the base of the Matsura boat-warriors.

It was a harbour on the crossing to China and Korea. The Matsura league as a document is of the 13th century, and the Dutch and English posts of the 17th century are far off [not yet checked against the source]. On 1 January 1200 it is a roadstead with a local band.
